Project Overview
The Yale West Apartments project consists of a 12 story, 216 unit building in the Shaw historic district. The property formerly housed the Yale Steam Laundry, famous for providing longstanding laundry service to the White House. The project features adaptive reuse of an existing building on the property, where it was restored and renovated into the apartment’s fitness center and 2 additional residential units.
The project also includes a 2 level underground garage, roof top pool, fully landscaped courtyard, club room, and a large resident lounge. Exterior landscaping on the project includes a courtyard area with seating for tenants. Hardscape improvements include the replacement of concrete city sidewalks with precast concrete pavers and brick, granite curbs and brick gutters, new fencing, and new street and alley lights.
