Project Overview

The Colonel is a 5 story wood residential building over a 2 story concrete podium, including 1 story of underground parking and retail on the ground level. Incorporating an existing historic 3 story masonry structure, the project features 68 apartments and 1 townhouse with 2 units. The luxury units range from studios to a two-level penthouse. Each unit has nine-foot ceilings, custom cabinetry, hardwood floors, in-unit laundry, and GE Artistry appliances. Some units offer private terraces or balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. Residents have access to a courtyard with a fireplace and a rooftop deck with fire pit, catering kitchen and theater space, plus garage parking and a controlled access bike room.

The building also includes 8,500 square feet of street-level retail space, occupied by three new restaurants. PGN Architects designed The Colonel with historic features such as exposed masonry walls, incorporating the historic renovation of the old building into the new construction, and blending the different designs together seamlessly.
