Project Overview
The project consisted of a complete demolition and renovation of the public space areas of Rotunda Community Center, totaling approximately 20,000 square feet. Scope included indoor pool renovations, mens and womens showers, spas, fitness and gaming centers, business center, offices, and tenant space. The work included new footings, structural steel structure, custom stair cases, a clearstory addition, custom millwork and high end finishes. Mechanical work included new extensive modifications to the existing plumbing, electrical and fire sprinkler systems. A new HVAC system was also incorporated into the design and installed.
Donohoe worked with the design team to overcome limitations related to existing structure ceiling heights and additional modifications required by the county to provide family restrooms, showers and changing areas. All work was done while the Condominium Offices were occupied and functioning without disruption of services and utilities.
