Donohoe Recognized With 4 NAIOP DC MD Awards

In a remarkable achievement, three standout projects have been recognized across different categories at the NAIOP DC/MD 2024 Awards of Excellence.
1401 Massachusetts Avenue NW won an Award of Excellence for Best Interiors Between 10k-25k SF, and an Award of Merit for Best Adaptive Reuse. 1401 Mass Ave, built in 1930, is listed in the DC Inventory of Historic Sites and was designated a landmark in 1964. Its large-scale Greek portico and neo-classical-style tower are prominent features on Thomas Circle. The scope of work for the 1401 Massachusetts Ave project consisted of the renovation of the interior and the addition of two stories to the existing 3-story west wing, turning it into new Class-A office space. This project was performed by our Building Enhancements team for Akelius US. The architect for the overall project was Jane Nelson Architects and the designer for the interior office space was Perkins & Will.
AIMCO DC HQ (3600 Idaho Ave) won an Award of Merit for Best Interiors up to 10k SF. Designed by Avison Young, this high-end office fit-out of a one story shell space included custom steel-framed glass office fronts, wood flooring, and an extensive detailed millwork package
Upton Place on Wisconsin also won a NAIOP DC MD Award for Best Mixed-Use Project. To read more click here.
