Background:

Alliance Material Handling Inc., specializes in providing sales and service for forklifts, lift trucks, racking, etc. To better serve the Washington market, the company decided to merge two locations in the B/W Corridor and to relocate and expand their office in Winchester, VA.

Challenge:

During a period when tight, landlord-favorable market conditions presented few options for industrial tenants, DRES was engaged to identify the best leasing opportunities that would permit Alliance to grow its business and maintain control over operating costs.

Result:

In the Corridor, DRES surveyed the market, brokered competing landlords, and ultimately finalized a lease that secured a new 60,000 SF headquarters in Jessup, MD. In Winchester, VA, DRES negotiated a transaction that resulted in a competitively priced, 25,000 square foot build-to-suit facility, secured by a long-term lease.
