Donohoe Volunteers gave back to the community over multiple volunteer shifts in partnership with Capital Area Food Bank for an impactful initiative.

During the first week of August, 81 enthusiastic Donohoe employee volunteers came together to alleviate hunger in the community. The teams packed and sorted 45 pallets of food – a staggering 28,800 pounds of food over three volunteer days at the organization’s headquarters in Washington, DC. The impact was 1252 bags of essential food items packed for the Senior Brown Bag program and countless batches of food sorted to ensure that the shelves of various local pantries are well-stocked for the 400+ non-profit partners who rely on Capital Area Food Bank’s services.

Donohoe is proud to be a driving force for positive change in our community by helping Capital Area Food Bank reach its goal of providing 50 million meals to community members each year.
