Donohoe Hospitality Services Announces a Series of Promotions as it Expands Into New Markets with New and Emerging Brands

Donohoe Hospitality Services (DHS), an award-winning hotel management company, recently announced a series of promotions as it prepares to open hotels in Las Vegas (NV), Baltimore (MD), Portland (ME), Washington, DC and Reston (VA).

Cheryl Haughton was promoted to Regional Director of Operations – Full Service & Lifestyle Hotels after many years of achieving brand honors and driving unparalleled performance in DHS’ extended stay and focused service hotels. In addition to optimizing performance at the company’s existing full service and lifestyle hotels, Cheryl will be working to open four new hotels in four different markets over the next 36 months.

Michael Golembe, an award-winning operator and opener, was promoted to Regional Director of Operations – Focused Service and Extended Stay Hotels. Michael’s immediate focus will be to ensure DHS’ existing portfolio finishes the year strong and to help prepare for the opening of the 250-room dual brand Hampton Inn & Suites/Home 2 located adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Jose Gallegos, an experienced General Manager who has achieved stellar results at two DHS properties, is heading west as the General Manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites/Home 2 that is slated to open in the second quarter of 2020.

“As Donohoe seeks to expand into new markets with emerging and established brands, Cheryl and Michael will play a critical role in driving performance, innovation and efficiencies across the portfolio. Jose’s leadership and experience will prove invaluable in Vegas as we look to expedite the ramp up of the property and drive partner returns,” said DHS President, Thomas Penny.
