Complete Building Services (CBS), a leading provider of facilities management and maintenance services based in Washington, D.C., has announced that the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) awarded it a five-year facilities management contract. Service support locations include the NAS Headquarter facility and Keck Center in Washington, D.C., and a regional data center in Vienna, Va.

The three sites combined total over 600,000 square feet and house over 1,100 NAS employees working to provide impartial knowledge and advice on matters regarding science and technology.

CBS will be responsible for providing full-service operations and maintenance. The scope of work includes preventive maintenance, mechanical and plumbing services, custodial services and landscaping. CBS has performed these same services for the Headquarter facility and Keck Center since 2005.

“We are honored to have been selected to continue providing facilities services to such an important institution as The National Academy of Sciences through a competitive bid process,” said CBS President David E. “Butch” Barry, Jr. “We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship and delivering a high level of customer service to NAS.”
