2024 Autism Speaks DC Walk

In 2024, Donohoe continued its commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen and uplift our communities through volunteerism, fundraising, and employee engagement. Throughout the year, the company proudly sponsored two impactful nonprofit partners: Bread for the City as a Dignity Partner and Autism Speaks as an Understanding & Acceptance Sponsor. Together, employees contributed an impressive 435 volunteer hours across a variety of initiatives.

Support for Autism Speaks included companywide participation in Wear Blue Day, Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN) training opportunities, and team participation in the annual DC Walk, helping to promote inclusion, awareness, and support for individuals with autism and their families.

Our partnership with Bread for the City was equally impactful. Employees attended the organization’s 50th Anniversary Gala, volunteered at both the SE and NW farmers markets in Washington, DC, organized a successful fall food drive, and dedicated a full week of volunteer service to support the Holiday Helpings campaign ahead of Thanksgiving.

In addition to these signature partnerships, the company donated an additional $50,000 to 30 nonprofit organizations recommended by employees, supporting causes related to housing stability, hunger relief, healthcare, environmental stewardship, youth services, mental health, education, and animal welfare. Organizations supported through employee recommendations included Central Union Mission, SOME, Covenant House, Gifts for the Homeless, Food & Friends, Potomac Conservancy, Interfaith Works, Potomac Riverkeeper Network, Rainbow Community Development Center, A Wider Circle, For 3 Sisters, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Washington School for Girls, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Greater Greater Washington, Rebuilding Together, Jacob’s Ladder, Children’s National Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Beat the Streets, BREM Foundation, SEEC, Pearl and Ivy Foundation, Loudoun Community Cat Coalition, Reed’s Rescue, and Kits to Heart.

Additionally, the company supported the annual Breakthrough T1D Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Games fundraiser alongside members of the DC commercial real estate community, helping raise awareness and support for Type 1 diabetes research and advocacy.

We are incredibly proud of the time, energy, and generosity our employees contributed throughout the year. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to making a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work.
