AC Hotel & Residence Inn by Marriott Reston Achieves LEED Silver Certification

Donohoe Development Company is proud to announce that the newly opened AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott Reston has achieved LEED® Silver certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s internationally recognized green building program, a symbol of excellence in sustainable design and operations.

Developed by Donohoe Development, constructed by Donohoe Construction, and now managed by Donohoe Hospitality, the dual-branded hotel is northern Virginia’s first Marriott hotel to combine the AC Hotel and Residence Inn experiences under one roof. The project represents a step forward in sustainability and modern hospitality.

• Water efficiency via significant reductions in indoor/outdoor water use and rainwater management
• Use of environmentally responsible materials resulting in embodied carbon reduction
• Enhanced indoor environmental quality, including advanced air quality strategies and design that promotes natural lighting
• Transit-oriented development, adjacent to the Reston Town Center Metro station and high public transit connectivity

With 267 thoughtfully designed rooms, cutting-edge amenities, and over 11,000 square feet of event space, the project is a design-forward hospitality destination and an example of responsible development.
