Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School BREAKS GROUND
May 1, 2018
Donohoe Construction’s Specialty Division broke ground on the Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School (GVPS) Berchmans Hall Project on Sunday, April 29.
Designed by CG+S Architects, the two new additions will connect and expand two separate buildings into one. The new, two-story addition will contain eight classrooms including science labs, a maker space, and student gathering areas to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and the arts.
The project will also include a connector to link two existing buildings along with the renovation of classrooms in the 65-year old St. Joseph’s Academic building. These renovations will accommodate a wide exterior stair and a handicap accessible ramp. The design also includes extensive outdoor patio space around the building.
The project is targeting for substantial completion in September 2019.
