Donohoe has landed at #18 on the Largest Ongoing Construction Projects in Greater Washington list compiled by the Washington Business Journal. The annual list highlights the most prominent construction projects in the greater DC area ranked by project cost. Donohoe’s expansive Upton Place on Wisconsin project earned Donohoe’s ranking on the list with a cost of $290 million.

Upton Place on Wisconsin comprises 689 multifamily residences, including 65 affordably priced, atop approximately 100,000 square feet of prime retail space and a restored 825-space below-grade parking garage. Donohoe Development and Aimco brought Upton Place to the market to transform a vacated office building formerly occupied by Fannie Mae into two multifamily buildings and a dynamic mixed-use destination. SK+I Architecture designed the residences with active social spaces, including a fitness center, three distinctive courtyards, rooftop entertainment space, outdoor cooking areas, two pools, co-working space, public pocket parks, and pedestrian connections to access the adjacent new City Ridge development and other neighborhood amenities. In late 2024, the project, built by Donohoe Construction, will deliver 455 apartment homes in the six-story 4K Wisconsin apartments and 234 residences in the eight-story The Parc. OneLife Fitness and Lidl have already signed with Donohoe Real Estate Services to occupy over 80% of the prime retail space.
