Donohoe Wins at the ABC Excellence in Construction Awards

Donohoe wins big at the Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington and Virginia’s Excellence In Construction Awards gala on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons. Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington Rosslyn Key Bridge receives the award in the ‘Commercial $21M-$40M’ category and Flex Point Hospitality wins the ‘Commercial/Residential Renovation – Under $1M’ category.

The Excellence in Construction awards program honors innovative and outstanding quality construction projects. The award recognizes all project team members, including the contractor, owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractors. The winning projects are selected from entries submitted from across the DC metro area and judged in 24 award categories by industry experts on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and cost.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington Rosslyn Key Bridge is an all-suite hotel developed by B. F. Saul. The 168-key hotel offers fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas that accommodate both business travelers and tourists. Amenities include a fitness facility, 1,000 SF meeting room, a dining area, and lobby bar, and 2 patios with fireplaces and outdoor grills. The hotel is LEED Gold Certified.

The Flex Point Hospitality project features a complete interior build-out of their 4,600 SF office in McLean, Virginia. The space includes conference rooms, offices, workspaces, a breakroom, and a kitchen complete with solid surface countertops and high-end finishes.
