Base building project, Homewood Suites Arlington, and Specialty division’s preconstruction and 5 Thomas Circle Demolition teams received the 2018 Dennis Barry Customer Service Award on Wednesday, December 12 at a company-wide Safety Meeting. The award is presented to individuals or teams who go above and beyond for our customers- receiving positive client feedback, reaching project milestones ahead of schedule, and excelling under tight budgets.

Homewood Suites Arlington, a 168-key hotel, celebrated its Grand Opening in April of this year after finishing ahead of schedule. The project was praised by Hilton CEO, Chris Nassetta, during the ribbon cutting ceremony. Said Nassetta, “[The hotel] was built by Donohoe so well it will outlive every one of us.” Developed by B.F. Saul and designed by Gordon and Greenberg, the hotel offers a host of amenities and accessibility to public transportation.

5 Thomas Circle is a demolition project completed by Donohoe’s Specialty construction division, and they are currently bidding the remodel work of the former church office building in Washington, DC. The Specialty preconstruction team has gone above and beyond this year, bidding over 80 projects and winning approximately $50 million in projects for their division alone.
