This project consisted of the complete demolition and renovation of 2 full floors in an occupied building. The 80,000 SF renovation transformed the space from small offices and long hallways to a state of the art open work environment. Glass partitions and doors allowed for conference room space to be separated from the open space without reducing natural light.
The project included new mechanical equipment in the upgraded server rooms and large conference areas along with new VAV’s in the open areas. Lutron lighting controls were installed through the two floors and included daylight harvesting to maintain the DC Green Build Requirements. The project had an extensive audio visual package to accommodate over 100 TV’s located throughout the office as well a sound masking system to help keep the open space areas quiet.
