2022 A Wider Circle volunteers

In 2022, Donohoe continued our long-standing commitment to community service by combining hands-on volunteerism with meaningful financial support for organizations making a difference throughout our region.

Employees contributed more than 400 volunteer hours in support of A Wider Circle, which the company proudly supported as a corporate partner. Throughout the year, employees participated in volunteer activities at its headquarters, as well as school supply, Thanksgiving food, and holiday toy drives, helping provide essential resources to local families.

With the launch of Donohoe’s Giving Fund in late 2021, the company expanded its philanthropic impact by inviting employees to nominate reputable nonprofit organizations serving the communities where we live and work—empowering employees to champion organizations that are meaningful to them. Each nomination is carefully reviewed before grants are awarded.

In its first full year in 2022, the fund distributed $50,000 to 28 nonprofit organizations supporting causes such as education, environmental stewardship, healthcare, housing, hunger relief, and community development. Recipients included Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Capital Pride Alliance, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, SOME, and many other employee-nominated organizations.

Together, these efforts demonstrate Donohoe’s commitment to strengthening our communities through both charitable giving and employee volunteerism. By investing our time, resources, and passion, we continue to make a meaningful impact where we live and work.
