Jennifer Sinclair is the Vice President of Risk Management at The Donohoe Companies, Inc. Jennifer is responsible for identifying and assessing liability and property risks to the company while developing forward-thinking strategies to mitigate these risks. Her expertise and relationships are crucial in managing the adequacy and cost-effectiveness of Donohoe’s insurance portfolio, ranging from Property to Liability to Workers’ Compensation to Cyber Liability protection.

Jennifer joined Donohoe in 2024, bringing an impressive track record and a wealth of experience in risk management advisory and insurance brokerage. With over two decades of professional practice, Jennifer has developed a remarkable ability to design, negotiate, and administer complex insurance programs, aligning with corporate risk management objectives and strategies.

Jennifer comes to Donohoe from AvalonBay Communities, Inc., where she supported the Risk Management Department as Director. In this role, her accomplishments include comprehensive insurance program design; the creation of two corporate-owned renters insurance programs; design, development, and deployment of the corporate Emergency Procedures Manual accessible via mobile app; the strategic use of offshore captive insurance companies to reduce total cost of risk; developing collaborative risk assessments on new and existing business initiatives; and enhancing safety programs across multiple departments.

Prior to her tenure at AvalonBay, Jennifer served as a Program Manager for The AES Corporation, managing the Global Property Captive insurance company and leading the U.S. casualty insurance program’s renewal strategy. Her earlier career was marked by a successful 14-year tenure at Marsh, LLC as a Vice President and Client Manager, where she crafted customized insurance solutions for a diverse domestic and multi-national client base, including those in the real estate, construction, and hospitality sectors.
