G. Thomas Borger

G. Thomas Borger brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role of board member of The Donohoe Companies, where he advises the advancement of the Donohoe organization and its six operating divisions since 2023.

Tom held the position of CEO of Borger Management, Inc. from 1982 to 2022, overseeing a period of remarkable expansion for the company. Tom successfully acquired, repositioned, and financed a portfolio of approximately 2,000 rental apartment units. Under his leadership, the firm achieved outstanding growth in commercial and multifamily residential property management and leasing throughout the DC metropolitan area.

Tom is a highly influential figure in Washington, DC’s real estate sector, having served as the President of the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington and the Washington DC Association of Realtors. His exceptional contributions led to him being named Realtor of the Year in 1987. He has also served as a Trustee of the Federal City Council, testified before the DC Council on crucial issues, and contributed to shaping the city’s future through Mayor-Elect Muriel Bowser’s Transition Committee and to special Mayoral committees to address D.C. housing issues.

Tom has also served the community in various capacities, including Trustee Chairman at St. Anselm’s Abby School, Chairman of the local chapter of The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, serving as Board Treasurer at St. Ann’s Infant and Maternity Home, and being an active member of the Bishop McNamara High School executive Corporate Partnership Committee.
