Donohoe Ranks #4 on Corporate Diversity Index, Demonstrating a Commitment to Inclusion

For the second consecutive year, Donohoe has secured the #4 spot on the Corporate Diversity Index compiled by the Washington Business Journal. The annual list highlights the leading companies in the greater DC area that promote diversity and inclusivity in their workforce. Donohoe’s achievement is based on an impressive 73.47% of employees being people of color.

This committee covers a wide variety of topics, ensuring that employees have opportunities to learn about various cultures and perspectives. The committee also launched an internal mentorship program to foster employee professional growth and development. The company actively collaborates with institutions such as Capitol Youth Empowerment Program, DC Department of Employment Services, DC Public Schools, DC Summer Youth Employment Program, Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School, Goodwill Industries, Howard University, Jewish Social Services Agency, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T University, Potomac Job Corps, So Others Might Eat Center for Employment Training, The Community College Preparatory Academy, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, University of the District of Columbia, Urban Equity Consulting Group, and WorkSource Montgomery. Moreover, Donohoe supports pipeline programs in the construction trade school and hospitality sectors. By investing in these programs, such as DC Students Construction Trades Foundation and DC Public School’s Career & Technical Education hospitality services programs, the company aims to provide opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in these industries and build meaningful careers.
