The Donohoe Companies Honored Among Washington Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" for 20185/18/2018
The Donohoe Companies joined the DC Metro area’s top employers at the MGM Grand National Harbor for an awards program honoring greater Washington’s “Best Places to Work” of 2018. The Washington Business Journal hosted the event to recognize the DC area’s top 100 employers in four categories: small, medium, large and extra-large businesses. Finalists are chosen from hundreds of nominees based upon feedback collected from employees through a confidential survey.
Donohoe was announced as the number 12 top extra-large employer at the event, a rating which is greatly attributed to the overall vision and success of the company and a strong sense of teamwork, loyalty and enjoyment among employees. One Donohoe employee anonymously shared in the survey “Donohoe has a work hard, play hard mentality. The company encourages employee development, and fosters an environment for continued success. Team members are loyal, and rally behind a common goal - - to make the organization the best in the industry. Donohoe’s employees already know it is a best place to work (but formal recognition is nice too!).”
This is the second time that Donohoe has been nominated for the contest and has been ranked among the top 20 employers in their category. “We are honored to enjoy recognition as a top employer, on the heels of some major changes for our employees including a corporate headquarters relocation in 2016,” said Deirdre Robinson, Vice President of Human Resources. “This positive feedback from our employees reinforces that we are fostering a respectful, challenging and rewarding work environment that attracts and retains employees.”
