overview

Located in the heart of historic Georgetown, Georgetown Park includes 3 levels of restaurants, 128 luxury condos, 500 spaces of underground garage parking, and a retail center with 95 international stores. The south building, an old warehouse, houses an additional 30 residential condo units. The development challenges for building high-end condominiums and retail in Washington’s oldest historic district were staggering. The plan included new-build and restoration of historic structures, shoring beneath the oldest structure in the city, and a site that actually straddled a National Park (the C&O Canal). Working with active citizen committees, historic preservation groups, and a lengthy review process, Donohoe was able to co-develop and build a landmark structure that defines Georgetown’s renaissance.
